They are going about preaching JESUS and Him crucified! Here Are Positive Ways to Spot One of them:
1. He will appear to be well satisfied and Happy in the LORD!
2. Right off he'll want to know if you're a "born-again" Christian!
3. He will hand you one or several tracts -- his pockets bulge with them!
4. He can quote scripture, especially The true scriptures that show you that you are lost and without hope in this world unless you receive Jesus' invitation: "Come Unto Me!"
5. Often he will be so concerned that you are headed for Hell, that he will weep over you.
These people know the plan of salvation as it is contained in the Holy word of God and they keep warning people about Hell-Fire! So it would be wise for Hell-bent sinners like you to:
1. Ridicule them.
2. Laugh at them to their face or behind their back, but don't let what they say soak in.
3. Call them fools.
4. Make some kind of excuse for NOT believing in Jesus, such as "My wife goes to church" or "My Grandfather was a preacher" or "There ain't no Hell" or "My priest said...", etc.!
5. Keep ignoring the Holy Spirit -- after awhile he'll turn you over to a reprobate mind!
Hold Out and You'll Win! Remember, "Hell ain't Half-full Yet! Just keep going YOUR way!
"Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." (Psm.51:5) - Everyone (including YOU) is born with a sinful nature. Here is further proof-- "The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies." (Psm.58:3) "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way" (Isa.53:6a) The LORD says-- "Ye must be born again." (Jn.3:7p) Without the new birth, you'll never make it:
Even the greatest Christian that ever lived (the Apostle Paul) said-- "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us" (Titus 3:5) So, even if you could keep the 10 commandments (and you've already broken one!), you would not be justified in God's sight-- "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." (James 2:10) So you see, you may as well try to Jump-to-Jupiter, as to try getting into Heaven by your own good deeds. You can't make it without Jesus!
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts.4:12) The Lord Jesus Christ, "His own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree" (1Pet.2:24p) - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
The LORD poured out "his own blood"(Acts 20:28) on the cross to make a complete and eternal payment for your debt of sins! -- "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." (1Pet.1:18,19)
"(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)" (2Cor.6:2) Don't even wait five minutes-- "Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." (Prov.27:1) You may be taking your last breath right now, use it wisely: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!" (Rom.10:13)
Turn from your sins, confessing with your mouth: The Lord Jesus and believing in your heart that God raised him from the dead for your justification, after 3 days and 3 nights in Hell!(1Cor.15 & Rom.4:25)
Receive God's Son: "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins" (Not your righteousness-- HIS! Rom.3:24,25)
And yes, it _is_ that Simple!
