>>CQ2> When you go to the Mt of Transfiguration, and you are shown Moses and Elias - were they not of OT progeny? Yet they are in heavenly places in and through Christ Jesus!
>CQ> NOW are they in heavenly places, but not before the cross.
Anyone can see that they were "in glory" before the cross, and appeared on the so-called "Mt of Transfiguration" with the Lord Jesus, and they entered into the cloud with the Father, who said: "This is my beloved Son: hear him." (see Luke 9:27-36 :)
>CQ> In Abraham's bosom, if that is in heaven like you say, then why is there a gulf fixed between the two places as though they are aside one another?
Aside? No. The rich man was in hell, and "he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom." (Lk.16:23p)
Abraham is obviously in paradise ABOVE, and he was holding Lazarus in his bosom to comfort him. Abraham's bosom is not a place in the earth, but is located in Abraham's chest! Abraham wasn't in his own bosom, he was holding Lazarus in his bosom. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. The God of Abraham, is the God of the living! Abraham is living! (Eternity is timeless! :)
>CQ> Was Lazarus in Abraham's bososm? Yes. And THAT was in hades.
Nonsense. Abraham and Lazarus are not in hell, they're in paradise, which Paul plainly said was "the third heaven", the abode of God.
>CQ> But Abraham's bosom was raised out of Hades...
Abraham's bosom is not in hell(hades), but in his chest. Abraham and Lazarus were above the "great gulf"; the rich man was below the great gulf in hell, in torments: "tormented in this flame." The great gulf FIXED is the FIRMament, the "outer darkness" of the universe between paradise above, (the 3rd heaven) and hell beneath. There is fire beneath the earth, as anyone who has ever seen VOLCANO VOMIT can tell you. What a terrifying thought, that a soul caught in that stream could be momentarily belched out of the earth, only to sink back again down to "the lowest hell." (Deut.32:22p)
The eternal sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ not only covers present day believers who were not yet born when he died for our sins, but also covers those who were born before he died and rose again for our justification through faith in his blood.
Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness!
Do you believe God? The word of faith says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved; For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (What are you waiting for? Call upon him now while he is near! :)
Grace be to them that receive the love of the truth. Amen. --Richard
