"treasures in heaven" :)

Reprint of a 11Jan96 reply to a Thankful Christian--

>TC> I wanted to say that though I did not see your SANTA post this year in the conferences, that we reposted it this year on our local BBS. It was a blessing, and one of the best writings that I have seen on the subject.

Thank you for reposting it. I've been calling long distance since the local [...] BBS closed around the middle of last year; which limits the amount of time I can spend online reading or posting. (The Santa series was posted in OPEN_BIBLE, and the Christmas series in the family-net Int.Bible echo.) [Now on Internet: http://www.avbtab.org/rc/santa.htm]

>TC> I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for deliverance from the worship of other gods.

Amen. Do you realize what you gave the Lord there? We love because he first loved us. We give of things that God gives us. Something PRECIOUS that you don't see the Lord giving us, that we can give to him:

THANKSGIVING!

Rev.5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Rev.5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Rev.7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and [about] the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
Rev.7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, [be] unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Behold the comparison of the seven things of Rev.7:12 with the seven of Rev.5:12--

What is given "unto" What is received
    Rev.7:12p Rev.5:12p
>1> blessing >7> blessing
>2> glory >6> glory
>3> wisdom >3> wisdom
>4> thanksgiving >2> riches
>5> honour >5> honour
>6> power >1> power
>7> might >4> strength

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, to receive the precious riches of our heartfelt thanksgiving!

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Phil.4:19)

>TC> The joy of the Spirit of the Lord be yours always, [TC]

Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before! Grace be to your heart for Jesus' sake. Amen. --Rich
