Let God be true!

re: The epistle of Paul the apostle to all that be in Rome.

>>RC> The epistle (written from Corinth by the hand of Tertius) of Paul was carried by Phebe (servant of the church at Cenchrea) unto Rome.

>Curious Questioner> How do you know that Pheobe delievered the letter. Paul could have sent several people. Pheobe could have been one of them. We cannot know.

>>RC> The Bible says the epistle was "Written to the Romans from Corinthus, and sent by Phebe servant of the Church at Cenchrea."

>CQ> And where is Corinth mentioned in Romans?

See "Corinthus" above.

>CQ> And I don't know that Pheobe was te one who carried the letter.

The Bible says that the epistle was "sent by Phebe". (see above)

>CQ> When I say, "in the Scriptures" I usually mean, in the actual Greek texts. The King James version is not the inspired word of GOd.

We have before proven that the Author's Version is the word of God.

>CQ> If you are going to say that something is in the book of Romans, I want a translation of the text that the author wrote.

The Author's Version (AV1611) is the english translation of the text that the Author wrote as it is written: Remember that Jesus is the Lord and receive the love of the truth for Jesus' sake.

>CQ> For example, I wouldn't accept the idea that Paul's name is in the book of Hebrews.

You did NOT put your name in the text of your message, but it surely appeared at the top of your message. Didn't you write the message? Compare Acts 17:24-28 with Hebrews 1:1-4; Acts 17:29 with Heb.1:5.

>CQ> The word "Paul" is not in the book of Hebrews.

"The epistle of Paul the apostle unto the Hebrews." (--B. of Hebrews)

>CQ> It is in the title that the King James translators put on it, but, to my knowledge it is not in ancient Greek text. The King James translators did not just translate the titles directly from Greek. Go look at a Greek text.

"H PROS EBRAIOUS EPISTOLH PAULOU." (Grk. Received Text)

"The epistle of Paul the apostle to the Hebrews." (Eng. A.V. :)

>CQ> Is Erastus mentioned as being a Corinthian in any other book?

In Romans: "Erastus the CHAMBERLAIN of the city" (Corinthus)

In 2Timothy: "Erastus abode at Corinth"

>CQ> I believe that it was written in Corinth, but you have yet to give me any reference to a Greek text that has the name of "Corinthus" in it.

Are you English or Greek? Did God call you to preach to Greeks? God has provided you with the Author's Version in english. Why are you trying to make a liar out of God? LET GOD BE TRUE!

"Pros Romaious egraph apo Korinthou...",etc. (Grk. Received Text)

"Written to the Romans from Corinthus, and sent by Phebe servant of the Church at Cenchrea." (Author's Version AV1611)

"For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou [God] art judged."

You really ought to remember that Jesus is the Lord and quit sitting in judgment on the word of God. Grace be unto thee. Amen. --Richard
