Rapture (don't miss it! :)

From a message of 14Mar1993 from a Curious Questioner--
>CQ> Subject: Rapture

>CQ> So, the word "rapture" itself isn't used in the Scripture, but the descriptive action certainly is very graphic, and the corresponding Greek word IS used. Maybe it should be called the "harpazo", from the Greek, instead of "rapture"?

The word rapture describes the whole experience and is therefore a suitable term for referring to such a happening.

>CQ1> The first question is, has this already happened?
>CQ2> The second is, will it in the future?
>CQ3> The third is, if it will in the future, at what point...

1. yes. (Enoch, Elijah, Moses, Jesus(1st), Jesus(2nd), Paul, John)
2. yes.
3. at least three points (big grin)
• 3a. pre-trib (church saints)
• 3b. mid-trib (Moses & Elijah)
• 3c. post-trib (tribulation saints)
• 3d. possibly post-millenium (when old earth gone, before new earth)

>CQ> Is this more than you expected?

(The rapture will be much more than any of us have expected so far! :)

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with y'all. Amen. --Richard
