>CQ> Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus [Christ] were baptized into his [death]? Doesn't that say that we are BAPTIZED into CHRIST? You must be baptized with water to be saved!

It does NOT say anything about "water" in that verse.

"Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the holy Ghost." (Acts 11:16)

"This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?" (Gal.3:2,3)

>CQ> Do you happen to know how many people were baptized by immersion in water their are listed for us in the KJV..?

In the days of Noah, everyone except 8 souls, for starters.

>CQ> Do you know how many its says were baptized by the Holy Spirit (not in water)?

"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit." (1Cor.12:13)

>CQ> Are believers commanded to be baptized ?

Some believers were so commanded. In the gospel of the grace of God, "by which also ye are saved", there is NO mention of baptism.

>CQ> Befor you haul off and send me lines from you bible program, let me tell you I have one and that I alread know their arew over 200 verses dealing with this topic...I'm looking for your personal acessment of what they all mean...

I have no such "bible program" as was supposed. Except where the context indicates otherwise, I assume that God says what he means and means what he says. Why do you believe otherwise? The word of faith clearly says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved; For whoseover shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Believest thou this? :)

Remember that Jesus is the Lord and turn from your self righteousness and receive the gospel of the grace of God and be saved by grace through faith for Jesus' sake. Grace be unto you. Amen. --Richard

>>RC> They that walk through life looking backwards tend to trip a lot. (grin :)

>>>CQ> Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus [Christ] were baptized into his [death]? Doesn't that say that we are BAPTIZED into CHRIST? You must be baptized with water to be saved!

>>RC> On the other hand, the apostle of the Gentiles said: "Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect." (1Cor.1:17)

>CQ> Richard, You don't really believe that all you have to do is believe in order to go to heaven, do you?

By the grace of God, I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who died for my sins and was buried and rose again from the dead for my justification through faith in his blood. I have already been quickened and raised up together with the saints to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus the Lord of glory. (see Eph.2:6)

>CQ> Acts 2:38 says "baptised for the remission of sins" can we skip that step and still have our sins remitted?

Acts 2:36p says "the house of Israel." Are you the house of Israel?

>CQ> When Philip discussed Jesus with the ethiopian eunuch he got the idea he had to be baptized in water didn't he?

He didn't think that fleshly works had anything to do with what he must do to be saved. The question, "What must I do to be saved?" is clearly answered: "BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be SAVED, and thy house." (Acts 16:31p) Quit wresting the scriptures to your own destruction and receive the love of the truth!

Remember that Jesus is the Lord, who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world. Receive the free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus the Lord. Remember that it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be unto you. Amen. --Richard
