Book of Moses

From a message by a Curious Questioner--
>CQ> Subject: moses; Books of

>CQ2> Look at the first five books of "Moses". Were they really written by Moses?

>CQ> Who (or better said WHAT modern Biblical Scholarship) claims that the Pentateuch were ACTUALLY WRITTEN by Moses?

The Lord Jesus Christ said: "For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?" (Jn.5:46,47)

>CQ> Simple logic would confirm that Moses had VERY little to do with the actual SCRIBBLING of the Torah!

"And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua:" (Ex.17:14p)

"And the LORD said unto Moses, write thou these words:" (Ex.34:27p)

"And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying, Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee." (Deut.31:24-26)

>CQ> Maybe if you don't tell yourself that "Books of Moses" = books WRITTEN BY Moses; rather "Books of Moses" = books ABOUT Moses you'd have a better grasp of THE BOOK!

The Lord Jesus Christ said: "Have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him..." (Mark 12:26p)

Moses knew that the Lord had also written a book: "Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book." (Ex.32:32,33)

Remember that Jesus is the Lord and take heed to the words of his book, even the Holy Bible, Authorized 1611 King James Version. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be unto you. Amen. --Richard
