Earth's Magnetic Field

>CQ> Subject: Earth's magnetic field

>CQ> The earth's magnetic strength is decreasing with time. Measurements over the past 130 years recorded a 14 percent decrease, indicating the earth's magnetic strenght decays by one-half every 1400 years.

The latest evaluation that I have on the half-life of the intensity of the magnetic field is less than 1200 years. (ref. Grolier Ency.)

>CQ> If this decay has remained constant, 10 000 years ago the earth's magnetic strenght would have been equivalent to that of a magnetic star. No life could have survived on earth with magnetism of that intensity.

The present decay rate is fairly constant. As for your "No life" claim, 10,000 years with your 1400 year half-life would only put the intensity at about 141 times greater than present. Using the more accurate 1200 year half-life decay rate puts the intensity at only about 32 times greater nearly 6000 years ago, when man was created in the image of God. (No, the woman was not made in the image of God, "the woman is the GLORY of the man." (1Cor.11:7p :)

The crowning act of creation! The woman was NOT brought forth from the waters, as the 5th day creatures, nor from the earth/ground, as the 6th day creatures: she was made from a HEART high live rib!

(What's the half-life of marital magnetism these days? :)

Grace be with you and yours for Jesus' sake. Amen. --Richard
