Judas Question

From a message by a Curious Questioner--
>CQ> Subject: Judas Iscariot;a question

>CQ> The question is even more complicated when we read that "Satan entered into him" (Jn. 13:27) speaking of Judas.

That wasn't the first time that Satan entered into that devil called Judas. After Judas turned red-faced at being rebuked for his hypocrisy when he offended that woman for lavishing spikenard upon Jesus: "Then entered Satan into Judas..." (Lk.22:3p); and he was offered money to betray Jesus to them: "And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him..." (Lk.22:6) (He "felt" betrayed by Jesus, having lost face before the others, so he CHOSE to betray Jesus.)

And again, after the Lord's supper: "the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him..." (Jn.13:2) And after Jesus had washed their feet, including Judas (Jn.13:10,11), Jesus gave Judas the sop, and then again: "Satan entered into him."

And when he comes "up out of the earth" (Rev.13:11), the dragon, that old serpent, the devil, will again enter into him, knowing that he has but a short time to deceive the world with lying signs; And you should never forget that Judas, "a devil", [see:Jn.6:66-70] was one of the twelve who was given power to heal the sick. Be not deceived.

>CQ> Is it not true that *any* being, spirit, power, or whatever, must be *invited* to take up residence within us?

No. The "spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience," is the "spirit of the world." You came into this world with the wrong spirit. Hence the need to be born again by the Spirit of God.

"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." (2Cor.4:3,4)

You ought to quit listening to men, and take heed to the word of God: Remember that Jesus is the Lord and consider in your heart that the very central verse of the Bible (Author's Version) says:

"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man." (Psm.118:8 A.V.1611 - The center two words: "the LORD")

Remember that Jesus is the Lord and let him fill your heart and none other. Be not deceived. "Take heed that no man deceive you."

CHOOSE: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

Let's have a word of prayer: "Lord Jesus, I ask you to be with those that are not under conviction or are indifferent or blinded or insensible to the Light, and that you will OPEN their hearts and minds and show them the TRUTH of your word! Give those that believe in you, your blessing and your power. Keep us covered by THE BLOOD, the cleansing Blood of Jesus Christ. LORD, rebuke the devils in us and through us and around us and clear a way for us in this life. Lord, don't let us be trapped, or tricked or seduced by beguiling spirits, in any kind of a lie. Help us, and undertake for us. I plead the Blood of Christ! For Jesus' sake. Amen."

Grace be unto your heart in the love of the truth. Amen. --Richard
