>CQ> My point was,
>CQ> 1) NO referance prior to Abraham could refer to the Jewish people, because they didn't exist then, actually, Israel began with Isaac, and the term "Jewish" refers to the members of the tribe of Judah, which dates to Exodus.
Judah dates to Genesis 29:35. The first mention of the word "Jews" is not until 2 Kings 16:6, which is after the nation was divided into the northern tribes, called Israel, and the southern tribes of the land of Judah. After the northern tribes were scattered (2 Kings 17:6-23, note v.18) those Israelites who remained with Judah were called Jews also.
>CQ> 2) NO source says that Moses wrote the Torah. The bible says that it was handed to him by the Lord.
The ten commandments written on two tables of stone were handed to him. The first five books of the Bible, called the books of Moses, were written by Moses primarily, with Joshua (Moses' servant) adding a few things after the death of Moses, the Lord's servant. The word "Torah" as such pertains to the Law of Moses, and only in a more general sense is it applied to the Pentateuch (5 books of Moses).
"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." (Jn.1:17)
"Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." (Rom.3:19,20)
The Lord Jesus Christ gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world. The word of faith says that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved; For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Now is the day of salvation. Call upon him now, while he is near. Grace be unto you in the truth. Amen. --Richard
