Confusion of names?

From a message by a Curious Questioner--

>CQ2> Often, there is a little confusion of Joshua, God, Lord God and Jehova.

>CQ> By Joshua, do you mean Jesus. I have heard that Joshua is Hebrew for Jesus. However, the Messianics say that the Hebrew name for Jesus is Y'shua... Anyway, using Joshua (Yawehshua, I think it is) is a little different.

In Acts 7:45 you were shown that "Jesus" is a reference to "Joshua" (Josh.5:13-15), whose name before was "Hoshea" (Deut.32:44), but Moses changed his name from "Oshea" to "Jehoshua" (Num.13:16), so that when Moses and "Joshua" (Deut.31:14,19) taught the children of Israel a "song" (on Moses' 120th birthday, Deut.31:2) and the last line of the song referred to "Hoshea"; they wouldn't fail to realize that there was prophetic material in the song "against" (Deut.31:19) them, and notice that the 6th book of the Bible is called "Joshua", but the 28th book of the Bible is called "Hosea" (whom Paul called Osee:) and look at all the references to "Jeshua" in the books between.

The Lord JESUS said: "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." Remember that Jesus is the Lord and receive the love of the truth.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be unto you. Amen. --Richard
