Plural "heavens"? (constall? yeah, maybe they're in stalls... :)

Plural "heavens"?

Singular "heaven"? (Finally! grin. . . :)
"And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Matthew 24:31)
Although I tend to agree with the interpretation that the atmosphere is the 1st heaven, the cosmos is the 2nd, and the 3rd is above the waters; however, Paul may NOT have been referring to "the third heaven" in location, but in TIME! Notice that in Genesis 1:1, God created the "heaven" (singular) and the earth. Then a second heaven called the Firmament was made on the second day.
"These are the generations [plural] of the heavens [plural] and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens," (Genesis 2:4)
The present GENERATION of heaven, the second heaven will pass away after all things are fulfilled and then there will be a future third heaven, the "new heaven" and new earth.
"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." (Matthew 24:34,35)
Do you agree that the "generation" spoken of in Matthew 24:34 has to do with the present generation of "heaven" of the following verse? Obviously Jesus wasn't speaking of a man's brief generation, since many generations have indeed passed since he said those things.

(Grrr... uh... GRACE be with your heart for Jesus' sake. Amen. :)
