Goliath's brothers

Hi again... In the Author's Version of the Holy Bible, David slew the Philistine giant Goliath, the Gittite; (Gittite = "of Gath") and Elhanan killed Goliath's brother whose name was "Lahmi".

"And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span." (1Sam.17:4)

"So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David." (1Sam.17:50)

"And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, a Beth-lehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam." (2Sam.21:19)

"And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam." (1Chron.20:5)

The five sons of the giant of Gath:

>1> Goliath of Gath (aka. Goliath the Gittite), killed by David
>2> Ishbi-benob, (who almost slew David), killed by Abishai.
>3> Saph/Sippai, killed by Sibechai.
>4> Lahmi (also one of Goliath's 4 brothers), killed by Elhanan.
>5> (the unnamed six-fingers/toes giant), killed by Jonathan.

(Remember that Jesus is the Lord and be wise to love the truth. :)

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. --Richard
