The Greatest Decision

The greatest decision that any man makes in this life is not connected with marriage, divorce, separation, choice of schools, jobs, professions, or places of residence.

Furthermore, the greatest decision a man can make has nothing to do with religion. Religion is what self-righteous people practice to justify themselves, either in the sight of God or in the sight of other men. No one can, or ever has, taken religion beyond the grave; when you die, you will leave your education, learning, talents, family, reputation, character, job, and religion behind you.

According to the word of God, the greatest decision a man will ever make lies within his WILL. Eternity is reduced to one of two decisions: I WILL, or I WILL NOT.

This decision has nothing to do with how much you know, what you feel, or how you have been raised, or what you think is true or false.

It has to do with your eternal destiny as a sinner who DIES, either prepared to meet God or un-prepared.

There are many decisions that you will make in this life that you will regret later, perhaps you have made some already that you wish you could un-do. But this decision we are speaking of is a decision that no man ever regretted having made; and over 10 million people have made the right decision.

What kind of a decision is it, that is so foolproof that it has not failed its "decider" one time out of 10 million? It is this (and the Bible gives you the background for it:)

1. I have decided to accept the fact that I am a SINNER, for the Bible says, "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

2. I have decided that my best works are unable to save my soul, "For all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags."

3. I have decided to accept God's word as it stands written against me that, "Every man at his best state is altogether vanity".

4. And believing this, I realize that my Religion and my Sacraments and my Sincerity cannot prevent me from receiving the eternal damnation of which a Holy God must be capable of dispensing, "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel." - "For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."

5. Knowing this to be true, I have decided to RECEIVE God's provision for my sins and trust that provision instead of any religion or my own good works. Believing that, "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures: And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" I now trust HIM as my payment for Sin, JESUS as my justification, GOD's righteousness instead of my own, even the Lord Jesus Christ as my Advocate with God Almighty, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

Now, the question is, have you ever made THAT decision? do you understand that this decision has NOTHING to do with "churches" or "religion"?

This is a personal thing that concerns YOUR personal relationship to YOUR Creator. It is one decision that no priest, bishop, or scientist can make for you, and if your mother or father made it for you, it was of NO effect, for, "every one of us shall give account of himself to God."

Are you prepared to give an account?

The best men who ever lived were not. Moses murdered a man, David committed adultery, Peter cursed and swore, Paul lost his temper, Joseph lied about a silver cup, Daniel let a king worship him, and the greatest and most saintly men of all ages have had their faults and sins. Buddha deserted his family, Mohammed got drunk on several occasions, Confucius lied (like most of us), and there were Popes in history who were killed by jealous husbands who caught them in the act of adultery.

The question is, what are you counting on to justify you at the Judgment?

Science will be of no help then to anyone. Religion cannot atone for sins or give you assurance that you are forgiven, even when someone says they are.

Remember that Jesus is the Lord and receive the love of the truth.

YOUR Greatest Decision

Millions of sinners step out into Eternity and Judgment every year, trusting everything in the world to justify them, EXCEPT the effective provision which God Himself has made FOR them.

You say, "How can I know that this is true?"

Receive the provision. In every area of life and experience, men are willing to "try things" to see if they work. Have you tried receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as your own Saviour? "O taste and see that the LORD is good!"

The greatest decision you will ever make in this life. Will you or won't you? To some, Jesus says, "You will not come to me that you might have eternal life." To everyone, the word of God makes it plain: "Whosoever will, let him come."

You ask, "How do I come to Jesus?"

Very simple. Wherever you are this minute, humble yourself, and pray this simple prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and unless you save me, I am lost forever. I come to you now, the best way I know how and I am believing that you are alive and that you are the One who died on the cross for me. Right now, the best way I know how, I receive you as my own Saviour and God helping me, from this day on, I am trusting nothing and no one but you to justify me and present me faultless before God's glory in the day of Judgment."

That simple. Pray that from your heart by faith, and you will have made the greatest decision in life.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."

Decide now, what you will do with Jesus, who is called Christ, for surely, that Jesus is the Lord!

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. --Richard
