>CQ> Subj: (PP2) Certainly certain
>>RC> The scriptures of truth are clear, that the Holy Spirit did not call the account a parable, and the Lord did not call that CERTAIN rich man by name, but that he did call Abraham and Lazarus BY NAME. (Even the rich man called both Abraham and Lazarus BY NAME. :)
>CQ> The Holy Spirit is remarkably voiceless throughout the entire Bible so that suggestion is hardly noteworthy.
Voiceless? All scripture is given by inspiration of God, for holy men spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Be not ignorant.
"While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee." (Acts 10:19) Obviously not voiceless.
>CQ> It is also not clear whether the man was rich is possessions or rich in the spirit or in both so far as I can remember -- having come in late and having missed the C&V.
The message you replied to did indicate the C&V (chapter & verses :)
>>>>RC> Subj: CERTAINLY CERTAIN! re: Luke 16:19-31
The rich man was clothed in purple and fine linen. Lazarus desired to be fed with crumbs which fell from the rich man's table.
>>RC> Judas was not said to go to either heaven or hell, but rather, as the son of perdition, he went to "his own place", the bottomless pit. (We have before explained how there is no "down" in the CENTER of the earth, since every direction is up, and hence, there is no bottom.)
>CQ> The center of the earth is at the bottom of the gravity well.
The CENTER of gravity is an equilibrium/balance point.
>CQ> Of course he would have stopped long before he got there due to coriolis forces.
How would the so-called "coriolis force" that affects movement above the surface of the earth due to the earth's rotation apply? A physical object falling in a northern hemisphere shaft THROUGH the earth might jostle against the west side of the shaft, due to the earth's rotation, but in the absence of any ledge or obstruction, it would tend to keep falling as long as the earth's mass beneath it is greater than the mass above it. (Momentum, and the fact that the center of gravity of the earth-moon system is only about 1000 miles below the surface of the earth would also have some sort of effect.) Regardless, you still cannot go down any further than the earth's center, where every direction is UP toward the surface of the earth.
(Please see next message. Thanks. :)

>CQ> Subj: SPEAKING OF PASSOVER
>CQ> Why is there no evidence the Hebrews were ever in Egypt?
There is evidence that some, but not all Hebrews/Eberites were in Egypt. Those descendents of Eber through Abram/Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel went to Egypt in Joseph's days and left in Moses' days. (re: historical record evident in books of Genesis, Exodus, etc.)
>CQ> Why is there no evidence of any event in Exodus?
Many of the events are recorded in other historical works also.
>CQ> And then we have a name change of these people from Hebrews to Israelites who purported came from WEST of the Promised...
>CQ> ...but they enter from east of the Jordan.
Israelites are still considered to be Hebrews. [The 58th book of the Bible is called (and addressed to) Hebrews.] Egypt is [presently] south-west of Israel. When they departed from Egypt, they crossed the Red sea and proceeded to "mount Sinai in Arabia." There was about 40 years of movement to various locations prior to their crossing the Jordon river from the EAST side toward the west side. (So simple. :)
>CQ> Of more interest is their language contains exactly one and only one word that has any etymological connection with Egypt and that is the name Moses itself.
"Potiphar" is of Egyptian derivation. There are scores of words in the old testament having an "etymological" connection with Egypt. There is no doubt that the children of Israel came out of Egypt and passed through much tribulation before entering the land of promise.
"Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall." (1Cor.10:11,12)
Remember that Jesus is the Lord and receive the love of the truth. Grace be to them that love the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. --Richard
