>CQ> The bible says that hell - hades - sheol is the common grave of mankind as Revelation 20:13-14 says that the dead will be resurrected from hell and then hell will be thrown into the lake of fire.
Not only is there no mention of a so-called "common grave" in Rev.20:13-14, but it is very obvious that the dead are found in several places. Any of the dead that are in the earth or heaven are exposed when their hiding place flees from before the face of God, and they are judged in verse 12. Then in verse 13, three more groups of the dead are brought to judgment from the "sea" and "death" and from "hell." And of course, "whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Let us learn some things about that lake of fire. The beast and the false prophet, back in Rev.19:20, are both "cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." (Before the "thousand years".) After the thousand years is past, "the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
We learn that after a thousand years, the beast and the false prophet "are" still in the lake of fire, which is a place of TORMENT day and night for ever and ever. (Be not deceived other wise! :)
>CQ> That scripture says that enough about hell in that it is not forever and that it is not a firey torment.
No, only that the LOCATION of hell changes from being in the earth, to being in the lake of fire. The LORD himself gave you the eye witness testimony from the mouth of a certain rich man in hell, saying clearly, "I am tormented in this flame."
>CQ> The bible says that all go to hell as Romans 6:23 says that all have sinned and the wages of sin are death.
Death and hell are two different entities. Romans 6:23b continues by saying, "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The Lord Jesus did no sin. In Christ there is a sure hope.
Grace be to them that love the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. --Richard
